Maintenance

Summary: Maintenance volunteers seek to ensure the proper care and upkeep of church property and resources. 

Description:  Maintenance volunteers are able to work with Painting, Carpentry, or Landscaping. These individuals should have prior experience in these areas, and should have a desire to properly maintain and care for church property. Work is done throughout the week, with most major projects happening during school breaks (Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter, Summer, and Spring breaks). 

 

Skill or experience needed:  

  • Painters: Ability to climb ladders and paint with brushes and/or rollers. 
  • Carpenters: Ability to use saws, hammers, and other miscellaneous power tools, as well as an understanding of basic carpentry. 
  • Landscaping: Ability to work outside and care for church grounds through raking, weeding, or sweeping.
  • Tools are available for those who need them. 

Time Commitment: Varies based on availability and work needed. 

JanItorial

Summary: Janitorial volunteers assist the staff in ensuring that church buildings and event spaces are kept clean and well kept. 

Description:  Janitorial volunteers assist with cleaning the interior and exterior of church buildings and event spaces. They ensure that rooms are set up and cleaned properly prior to and following events and worship services. 

Skill or experience needed:  

  • Ability to clean interior and/or exterior sections of church buildings
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness. 
  • Ability to perform basic functions such as mopping, vacuuming, hand cleaning, and set up of tables, chairs, and other items. 

Time Commitment: Varies based on availability and work needed.
